Review: Eric Anders & Mark O’Bitz – Of All These Things

Eric Anders and longtime collaborator, Mark O’Bitz team up on Of All These Things. This is the ninth release by Anders who’s has a brilliant reputation of being one of the better singer/songwriters out today.

This record offers some of the best sounds in Americana and folk-rock. It’s filled with catchy acoustic guitars, banjos, and of course the sweet sound of steel guitars. Of course, the lyrics are a prime example of why Anders is an artist to watch.

Eyes of Your Loves could be the soundtrack to your long summer journey across America. It’s upbeat and Ander’s vocals including the female backing vocals just flow beautifully with melody. This could definitely be a radio hit.

Below the Night offers a gorgeous but haunting steel guitar solo that had me revisit this song a few times. It’s a brilliant opening track but with the inclusion of the solo, it makes it that much better.

A brilliant record and a beautiful collaboration.
