Review: Snailmate – Existential Anxiety EP

I’m just going to let you know how I felt listening to this the first time right off the bat. I felt like I was punched in the faced repeatedly while I was dancing and laughing hysterically while high on acid listening to this. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

Snailmate’s Existential Anxiety EP is the most unique collection of songs I’ve heard in a very long time. So much going on in each and every track, that you actually do feel some anxiety. It’s a roller coaster ride that has you scared at first but you want to ride over and over again.

Kalen Lander’s flow and Ariel Monet’s diabolical screams mesh so well together. You then add in the quirky but trippy keys and drums, you get a magical mixture that will seduce you into submission.

For those of you who are fans of Mindless Self Indulgence, Horse The Band, and Primus you will enjoy Snailmate and this EP. Check it out and join the band on one crazy and insane ride.
