Review: Love & Change – Todd Warner Moore

Months ago, I reviewed one of my favorite Americana records of the year with Todd Warner Moore’s Spark. Now Todd is back with his new record that continues to spark my love for acoustic filled folk tunes.

Moore brings the goods again with Love & Change, a full length that spans 44 minutes with a stellar tracklist of 13 songs that all bring something different to the table. The Kansas City native crafted a collection of songs of beautiful songwriting and music mastery.

A few of my favorite tracks include Wide Open. I love how the violin guides the track until the very end. It tugs on my heartstrings as I’ve always had a soft spot for the overwhelming and amazing sound of the violin.

As I did on Spark, Leah Hart’s backing vocals once again blend perfectly with Todd’s. It shines throughout the record but my favorite that features both is the title track, Love & Change. It’s a match made in heaven.

This record gives us great vocals, instrumentation, and wonderful worlds and stories built on melody. Make sure to check out Love & Change. Listen to the full record below via Spotify.
