Review: Versal – Versal EP

They say everything is bigger in Texas. When it comes to Houston-based New Age and Ambient musician/producer Javier Velez’s latest release, he goes big with sound and it pays off. We are talking about Javier aka Versal’s self-titled EP.

The EP delivers some grandioso soundscapes and arrangements that tingled my eardrums when I had my first play through. The record offers plenty of sounds that are eclectic and diverse. I love the piano piece that opens up the EP. Eternal mixes beautiful piano arrangements and gorgeous synth leads flawlessly.

El Camino a Montserrat could be the perfect soundtrack to a sci-fi/adventure film. I can picture a scene where a group of heroes discovers a beautiful and exotic planet for the first time. The track paints a picture so well.

If you are a fan of epic soundscapes, gorgeous synth leads, and music that can take you away to another place, check out Versal’s self-titled EP.
